A hit-and-run car accident in West Goshen Township, Pennsylvania, claimed the life of a 21-year-old male on Monday, November 19. According to reports from media outlets like LehighValleyLive.com, the victim was a resident of Upper Nazareth County, right outside the city of Bethlehem.
West Goshen police reports revealed that at approximately 5:20 p.m., the 21-year-old was hit by a car and killed on the 600 block of South Bolmar Street. According to a spokeswoman who worked for the borough of West Chester, the victim was crossing the street to get to his job at a local trucking business. He was reportedly a junior studying criminal justice in the College of Business and Public Affairs of West Chester University.
"We extend our deepest condolences to the [victim's] family and all of [his] friends and classmates during this very difficult time. Our Student Affairs staff, as well as faculty in the Counseling Center, will be available to assist any students as they learn of this sad news today and upon their return after the Thanksgiving break."
The driver of the vehicle who hit the college student was an elderly citizen, although his age has not be released. An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday, November 20.
As a high school graduate of the Nazareth Area High School, the young man played tackle for the football team and was a member of the lacrosse team.
