Montgomery County motorcycle wreck leaves one dead, three injuredAugust 4th, 2013 by Gabriel Z. Levin
Car accidents are unpredictable occurrences with sometimes tragic consequences. Despite the precautions drivers may exercise while on the road, sometimes there's nothing you can do to help prevent an accident from happening. What you can help, though, is how you deal with the aftermath. If you or a loved one has been hurt or worse in a car crash, reach out to a car accident lawyer for legal counsel and possible damages you may be entitled to.
A multi-vehicle wreck involving two cars and three motorcycles in the Philadelphia suburbs of Montgomery County resulted in three injured victims and one death. Local news affiliate NBC 10 Philadelphia reports that the incident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, when three bikes and an SUV were traveling westbound along Welsh Road in Upper Dublin Township. The four vehicles collided into a Toyota Camry moving eastbound on Welsh and Dillon Road.
Although authorities have not disclosed what initially caused the accident, or which vehicle hit which, what is known is that one of the motorcycle riders was killed after being struck. The other two sustained serious injuries and were hospitalized at Abington Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The Toyota driver suffered minor injuries and the driver of the SUV walked away from the scene unharmed.
Authorities closed Welsh Road overnight while investigating the crash but reopened it just before 6:30 a.m.
